People Insight’s Outstanding Workplace Award

People Insight’s Outstanding Workplace Award recognises organisations who achieve a top-quartile engagement score of 86% or more in their People Insight employee engagement survey.

In essence, our award celebrates organisations building positive workplace cultures and acting on employee feedback to spark positive change.

Who is eligible for the Outstanding Workplace Award?

Organisations that have achieved a top-quartile employee engagement score of 86% or higher in their People Insight employee engagement survey are eligible for the Outstanding Workplace Award.

Organisations must also achieve a response rate of >70% and must have used People Insight’s 5 standard engagement questions. 

The award can be achieved year on year if organisations  maintain or improve their engagement score.

What makes an outstanding workplace culture?

An outstanding workplace culture is found in organisations that have designed their strategy with employees at the heart. They have considered key moments of the employee journey (candidacy, onboarding, performing, growth and exit), and developed strategies to deliver a consistently outstanding employee experience. They have listened to their employees and critically – acted on their feedback,  resulting in a positive change in employees’ day-to-day experience.

Why does company culture matter for organisations?

In the labour market, talent is increasingly scarce. As a result, organisations say the best way to attract and retain talent whilst improving productivity is to listen to their employee’s needs and concerns. This is evidenced by People Insight clients; in response to their staff survey, Sturrock and Robinson developed a re-engagement and culture programme. This, in turn, boosted their employee engagement by an impressive 16%, reaching a score of 90. The Salesforce study ‘The impact of Equality and Values on Business‘ says employees who feel their voices are being heard were 4.6 times more likely to perform their best.
