A Win at the Light Rail Awards

Our recently developed 4 Channel Speed Sensor earns recognition as highly commendable. Thus, the Virtual Light Rail awards in the Technical Innovation category was a highly successful outing.

4 Channel and the Virtual Light Rail Awards

Our 4 Channel provides high-quality reliable signals to various on-train systems. Through our design engineering, the 4 Channel increases the capabilities of conventional dual channels.

Simply by having two independent dual channel sensors in one sensor housing. This reduces the number of Speed Sensors around a gearbox or axle. In short, pushing the rail industry forward with the use of fewer Speed Sensors per train.

The invention of the 4 Channel Speed Sensor is that there are four sensor outputs in isolation from each other. With each Sensor stuck in isolation, any malfunction or failure of a Sensor won’t affect the functionality of any of the remaining 3 channels. This provides a backup and additional redundancy protection and therefore sustainability. In dual-channel Sensors, the failure of any channel results in direction detection not coming through.

Therefore, it becomes necessary for the replacement of the Sensor.

The innovative 4 Channel Speed Sensor increases safety and performance but also is the environmentally friendly and sustainable option to keep rail journeys moving.

Well done to all our team for making this year such a success!
