The location of the new warehouse, at St. Modwen Park Chippenham, is close to the M4/M5 road network and will reduce the distance travelled by delivery and courier companies. This will allow Furniturebox to extend its next day delivery cut-off time from 1pm to 8pm for its customers, which is a unique service offering within the online furniture sector.
The sustainability elements of the warehouse, which come as standard on a St. Modwen Logistics building, will support Furniturebox’s carbon reduction model and help it meet its ambitions around sustainability. The building delivers BREEAM excellent and EPC A ratings, includes a full roof PV solar panel system and electric vehicle charging points, helping the company reduce its energy costs and its impact on the environment.
Having a new St. Modwen warehouse will enable Furniturebox to reach more customers, faster, and offer them extended product and delivery services. With access to green spaces and an exercise trail on the park, the new building will also provide employees with a great place to work and will allow Furniturebox to continue to flourish whilst supporting economic growth in the region.
At St. Modwen Logistics we take great pleasure in supporting our customers plans for growth and providing them with the space and support they need to succeed. That’s why we were delighted to help Chippenham-based Furniturebox find a new building, close to its existing home, to help it realise its ambitions for growth and provide a great place to work for its employees.
